Design Acoustics
19mm (¾”) dome tweeter
removed from my PS-6 speakers, manufactured c.1984.  This quality tweeter was sourced from Tonegen of Japan, one of the world’s most prolific driver suppliers, and appears to be a copy of the Vifa D19TD.
This Tonegen part # P10243 also appears identical to the # P10082 that came in the PS-6 the following year, aside from the print on the faceplate.  As such, they should be fully interchangeable.
So, please have a look at the large photos and read the remaining description to decide if this outstanding tweeter is correct for your needs.

This Design Acoustics tweeter is in clean, excellent overall condition.  The soft poly dome is in flawless shape with no dimples or marks.  Plus, the thick plastic faceplate is also in great shape with no cracks or noteworthy scratches and perfect enameled logo script.  Also, the +/- terminals are marked for polarity (red = +) and have never been soldered on the spades.  It’s exceptionally well-preserved throughout!
The tweeter has been fully tested and sounds perfect—clear, detailed output with ‘sparkly’ 20kHz rating.  And, I tested the DC resistance at 7.2Ω, consistent with a nominal 8 ohm driver rating.  Lastly, the faceplate measures 3 11/16”, it stands 15/16” tall, and the three mount holes are spaced 2 15/16” apart, c-t-c.
So, if you have a blown or damaged tweeter in your PS-6, or other suitable Point Source model, you’ve found the right listing—your speaker will be sounding its finest once again!
