    Description

Vintage 1958 Squirt Soda - Die Cut Promotional Bottle Topper - Tip The Bottle Ad
I love vintage advertising pieces and this one is very cool. Vintage Squirt Soda Die Cut Promotional Bottle Topper made in 1958. Marked with Catalog No. #1809.  Great Pink and Cream Color on both sides. Front side has great graphic with the young Squirt Boy graphic tipping over a bottle of squirt and saying "Tip the Bottle, See the Fruit...Fresh Fruit Flavor You Can See!" This slogan is promoting that Squirt was made from the juice of fresh sun-ripped fruit with less sugar...no artificial color or flavor.  Then it goes to say Squirt Quenches Thirst Quicker, Faster Pick-up, Delicious with Ice Cream and the Worlds Best Mixer. The other side has the same colors with 12 ways to enjoy Squirt...excellent for cooking also.  I can see the Squirt & Vodka (#10) but not sure of heating it up and using it for a Hot Late Night Cap (#3).
This Bottle Topper is 7 3/4" Tall by 3 1/4" at the widest part. It is printed on a cardboard stock and it is in very good condition. 2 minor creases at the top left on the front  and top right by the circle(both mirrored on the back) and a little "spot" of something on the back bottom but overall, very clean,  normal wear to the corners and overall a wonderful piece of advertising that survived. Squirt, This citrus soda was invented in the 1930s, but became popular in the 1950s as a cocktail mixer. We absolutely love the use of soda as a mixer—especially in any mixed drinks that are easy to make. This brand is still in circulation today, but it doesn’t have quite the popularity it once did in the ’50s.
