Description
General - American 1880s H.H. Warner & Co. Tippecanoe Round Log Figural Patent Bitter's Bottle. Hand blown, hand applied finish, ornate embossing. BIMALEmbossing - "H.H. WARNER & CO., TIPPECANOE" embossed over tree bark. Base embossed "PAT. NOV. 20, 83, ROCHESTER N.Y. 5". Other embossing includes 4 sawn off tree branches with actual tree rings. A birch bark canoe with actual embossing on the canoe depicting birch bark. Other embossing on the canoe consists of an arrow and 7 pointed star or sun on one end and a moon and star on other end. The shoulder has actual tree rings like a cut off tree would have. Embossing is one of the most intricate, detailed and complex embossings you can find on a bitters bottle. The bottle is finished with a mushroom shaped lip, depicting a mushroom growing out of a tree stump. Label would have read as follows;
