Description
General - American 1880s H.H. Warner Tippecanoe Round Figural Patent Bitter's bottle.Hand blown, hand applied finish, ornate embossing.
Embossing - "H. H. WARNER & CO., TIPPECANOE", embossed over tree bark.
Base embossed "PAT. NOV. 20, 83, ROCHESTER N.Y. 1".
Other embossing includes four sawn off tree branches with actual tree rings. A birch bark canoe with actual embossing on canoe depicting birch bark. Other embossing on the canoe consists of an arrow on one end and a shining sun on the other end. The shoulder has actual tree rings like a cut off tree would have.
Embossing is one of the most intricate, detailed and complex embossing's you can find on a bitters bottle. The bottle is finished with a mushroom shaped lip, depicting a mushroom growing out of a tree stump.
Glassworks - Unknown
Color - Golden Amber Size - 9" Tall and 2-7/8" at the base.
Circa - This type of bottle was made from 1883 - 1895.Age - Approx. 132 years old.
Condition - Excellent example. Crystal clear and clean glass. Embossing is outstanding, no wear. Overall, glass is in Pristine condition. Base has minimal case wear. Very solid example and in fantastic condition.
Summary - Very nice example of a Classic H.H. Warner Tippecanoe Figural Bitters Bottle, out of Rochester, New York. Nice piece of history of the days gone by. Would be a fine addition to any collection
