The cylinder has a rather simple and inconspicuous external appearance, but we all know that appearances can be deceptive. We are talking about a real Big Bore - the cylinder arrangement is not based on a modified standard model which has been milled open to create a larger hole, but has been designed as a Big Bore from the start, with matching transfer ports and a drain fitting large enough to support excess performance. Big Racing cylinders impress with ease of installation, exceptional performance and high reliability. The installation is very simple, the milling of the base or any other modification is not necessary. The squish is preset to an optimized value for the respective engine type. In terms of power, the BigRacing cylinders throw it off the playing field - we measured a whopping 25.2 PS & 15.4 Nm on our P4 test bench with a standard configuration (24mm carburetor, original ignition, racing exhaust etc. The connection times are relatively low, the cooling system volume is large enough and the piston is a high quality Vertex piston. All these factors contribute to the high reliability and robustness of the cylinder, provided the configuration and adjustments are appropriate. The displacement is 88cc (50mm piston / 45mm stroke / 90mm rod) and therefore is not road legal (in many countries). You will need to use a long stroke crankshaft and long axle bolts (M7x120mm).
