  • Condition: Goerz bent shoulder 12x45 with forged Zeiss markings. The center hinge is a bit loose and the collimation is off. The glass has very slight haze but has no prism chips, fungus, or lens doublet separation.

    Description

    An enigmatic pair of binoculars if ever found!
    Though the prism plates are marked Zeiss Deltrintis, this pair has been identified by Binocular Historical Society members as Goerz 12x45. The forgery is thought to have been done in the early part of the 20th century in an attempt to raise the value.
    Condition is fair. The center hinge is a bit loose and the collimation is off. The glass is slightly hazy but has no prism chips, fungus, or lens doublet separation. There is loss of leather covering on the right hand barrel. Please see photos.
