Offered at Auction,  IN  THIS  LOT,   is an Absolutely Gorgeous  and  Rare  ONE-Of-A-KIND   "  VINTAGE   HANDMADE  SHIRLEY  WHITWORTH  PORCELAIN  MINIATURE  DOLLHOUSE  DOLL ". This Stunning Doll  is Titled:  "  LADY  OF  THE  EVENING " .  She measures 5" in Height, from the Tip of her Extended Foot Toe to the Top of her head. The Width is 4 1/2" to the Edge of the Somewhat Fixed Costume.  I believe this Doll was Created by Shirley Whitworth, in the United States, in the 1990's.
Of Added Rarity, is the " ORIGINAL  CERTIFICATE  of  AUTHENTICITY  " which is INCLUDED with this Doll.  Artist Shirley Whitworth provides the following Description of this Doll in its Certificate :
" Lady of the Evening OW9323.   The pretty Lady is costumed in white Vintage Cotton Batist Bloomers, Petticoat, and Chemise that are trimmed with Pale Mauve and Pink Silk Ribbons and Roses. Her Pale Blond Hair is held back with a large Silk Bow and she is in a SEATED Position holding a Large White Feather Plume.   Costume Design: Original Molds: PL . This Figure was COMPLETELY  MADE by ( Shirley Whitworth ) and will NOT be Repeated. She is Kiln-Fired and China-Painted and has Poseable Legs. Her Arms are Jointed at the Shoulders. She is Positioned to Sit. "
Shirley Whitworth ( Bertram ) is widely known throughout the Miniature Artist World, as one of the Pioneers of the Trade.  Through my Research, I learned that she Retired from Miniature Shows in 2010.  She was honored in 2017, by being invited to Participate in the  " MINIATURE  MASTERWORKS  SHOW " , as  a " MASTER   ARTIST ".  This Special Designation  and Recognition is given to only a Very Select Few Accomplished Fine-Scale Miniature Artists.  This would be in a sense similar to a " Hall of Fame"  for Miniature Artists.
Originally from Tucson, Arizona,  Shirley began making Miniatures in the mid 1980's. She developed techniques to give her porcelain models realistic wrinkles and crinkles, to make them more " relatable " to actual human features.  She successfully represented people of all ages and social classes in her art and craft.  Endless hours of researching original patterns and period fashions was undertaken so that her dolls could be dressed in Authentic Costumes.  She promoted her Craft and Artistic Talents by teaching classes to other Aspiring Miniature Artists.
Given the years since she has actively been creating more Miniature Porcelain Dolls, opportunities to Acquire her Work obviously are becoming more and more limited.  Here is a RARE opportunity for the Advanced Miniature Collector to acquire a Work from one of the Early Pioneer Miniature Artists.  Again, what makes this Lot especially rare, is the  " CERTIFICATE  of   AUTHENTICITY "  which comes with it .
