These charming hand sculpted posable matching porcelain Santa Claus and Mrs Santa Clause dolls by
IGMA Artisan Fern Vasi
are both dressed in red French silk velvet.  After his long night, we find Santa Claus sleeping soundly in a leather chair with his
faux fur trimmed pants and candy caned
stripped socks up on a matching ottoman. His individually carved fingers hold a Christmas mug filled with "hot chocolate and whipped cream". He wears green and gold penguin clasped suspenders and Christmas tree cufflinks. There is a small amount of dried glue on the seat of his pants (see photo), but none on the chair seat nor on the hassock. When Santa is in the chair it does not show a bit.
Mrs Santa holds in her individually carved fingers a luscious holiday fruitcake on a silver platter. She wears a lacy full white apron over her red French silk velvet dress, and has a festive sprig of holly in her coiffed hair. Her jewelry includes an emerald green colored ring, a ruby red colored brooch, and red and green Christmas tree earrings. Her face is beautifully painted with a charming loving expression.

This marvelous holiday grouping by the very talented IGMA miniature artisan Fern Vasi, includes both dolls plus a dark red leather looking wing chair and hassock with carved wooden legs. So if you are creating a holiday room box, a North Pole scene, or adding some mini Christmas cheer to your dollhouse, these vintage collector dolls are simply perfect. They are decorative items intended for adult collectors, and are not toys. They have always been stored boxed or behind glass and come from a non-smoking and no pets environment. This very special and enormous collection was lovingly gathered for over a half century starting in the 1970's, by a high end collector and contains many museum quality pieces by world renowned IGMA Fellow Artisans. Numerous pieces were custom created by the artisans of the day, and some even have the original receipts and correspondence between the collector and artisan for specific items. Much like in a museum, the overall quality, record keeping and storage of this collection, where everything was either kept boxed or behind glass, is simply outstanding.  I am very proud to present these spectacular miniature items for your review.

All other prop items in the photos are there for display purposes only and are not included in this auction, but some of them may be available in future auctions.  I have tried to include a few lot auctions where numerous similar items may offer some amazing bargains.
