    DESCRIPTION & CONDITION
    This listing is for an early antique hickory wood shafted right handed 43" wood. It is an early splice neck wooden headed long nose driver/play club. I recently received some long nose clubs to sell and do not claim to be an expert in this area.
    This particular club is marked Alex Taylor on the crown. It is circa 1900/20's antique club made in the older style with a thinner neck and longer head. Alex Taylor made custom sports equipment in NYC. His store was open from 1897 to 1947.
    Appears to have original finish with nice patina and original grip. The head is in good condition, but does show some buildup that I chose not to try to clean. The grip appears original and in good condition with a reddish hue. Overall a very nice collectible. There is a cut and long chip near the head, but it does not effect the overall appearance, see the very last picture. Would be a good candidate for reconditioning.
