    Offered for your consideration is a
    Polk Audio
    SL5501
    Dynamic Balance 1 inch dome tweeter
    , USA-manufactured in 1998.  This tweeter was removed from my CS225 center channel speaker.  It was also used in several Polk RT-series models, and possibly other speakers, but buyer is responsible to verify suitability with their needs.
    So, please see my large photos, the measurements, and read the remaining description to decide if this capable Polk high frequency driver should be yours.
    This Polk Audio tweeter is in clean, excellent condition.  The dome is in perfect shape with no dents or dimples.  Plus, the sturdy plastic faceplate has no cracks or scratches and the large, shielded magnet structure is free of oxidation.  And, the +/- terminals are keyed for polarity (positive has a + next to it) and have never been soldered on the spades.  It’s in flawless overall shape!
    Most importantly, the tweeter has been fully tested and sounds terrific—strong, detailed output and it extends well into the ‘sparkle’ zone with its impressive 25kHz-rated upper limit.  Plus, I tested its DC resistance at 6.2Ω consistent with an 8 ohm nominal driver rating.  Lastly, the faceplate measures 3¾” diameter, it stands 1⅜” tall, and the three mount holes are evenly spaced 2 11/16” apart, c-t-c.
    So, if you have a blown tweeter in your CS225, or other suitable Polk speaker, you’ve found the right listing!
