That was the first year of Phoenix's alternate jerseys and they wore them 10 times in the regular season and 3 times in their first-round, seven-game playoff loss to St. Louis. This Starter size 58-G set 1 jersey is one of two green jerseys made for Tocchet but is the only one that has the assistant captain's "A" on it and it shows good overall use with wear on both sleeves and the front tail. It comes with a matching pair of green game socks tho they are not numbered and not sure what player wore them. The 98-99 season was Tocchet's second with the Coyotes but first with him wearing his familiar #22 after the retirement of f
uture Hall of Famer Mike Gartner. It has the special shortened sleeves that "Toc" perferred and it comes with a letter of authenticity from the company that sold most of the Coyotes' game jerseys from their first three seasons. The company also added the year and set tagging in the back hem before the jerseys were sold.
