Pair Antique Vintage Hickory Shaft Splice Neck Spoons

This item is a pair of antique vintage
right-handed
original hickory shafted woods. Both are early splice neck spoons. Both have full brass soleplates. One is an unmarked 42 1/2" 18* loft D 3 swingweight spoon. The other is a 40 3/4" 19* B 9 spoon with hard to read maker on the crown. Fair
vintage
condition at best. The show the expected play use, nicks and dings along with other issues.
Please look at the many zoom pictures to get a better idea of condition. The shafts are the apparently original hickories. One has a bend and one is straight. I see a repairable
crack
in the
straight
one. One is missing a grip and the other one has an old grip that is in poor condition. The one without the grip is a whippy flex and the other feels like a regular flex. Early clubs for display.
If you are considering playing with this club, while I see no issues with this shaft (other than those mentioned above), I suggest that whipping be added just above the hosel to help prevent breakage. These old wooden shafts often have hidden defects and are liable to break at any time. I do not guarantee wooden shafts or heads against breakage when put into play. Never hit an old wooden shafted club off a driving range mat. Never hit an old wooden shafted wood with a hard range ball.
Shipping in the US is calculated and based on a 4
-pound
box. This item shipped UPS Ground. For those of you that never ship but only receive items, the further you are from me in NC the more shipping will be. That is the way the carriers charge. On top of that, eBay and takes almost 15% of what I receive for shipping (out of I receive .50) and I would like to break even. eBay collects sales tax for many states. They charge me 15% for that service and I never see that money.
