The new Oberwerk 25x100mm Deluxe is ideal for serious binocular astronomy or long-range terrestrial viewing on a budget. This is the IF (individual focus) model. New prism mounting system uses precision floating plates (as found on our Ultra Series), which do a better job of maintaining alignment than common prism-tilt systems. Features fully broadband multi-coated optics (all air-to-glass surfaces, including prisms), rubber-armored all-metal waterproof construction (nitrogen filled), braced and hinged objective tubes, and built-in mount. The Oberwerk 5000 Series tripod and head is the best value on the market for a heavy-duty tripod for binocular astronomy. It has a high load capacity (up to 16 lbs.) and even greater maximum height (7 feet!)- plenty of height to allow standing underneath a binocular when it is pointed up at the night sky. Tripod construction is black-anodized aluminum, the fluid head is cast aluminum, with a total weight of 13 lbs. The fluid head includes dual panning handles and one quick-release plate. Also included is a padded carrying case.
This tripod/head combo is ideal for all Oberwerk binoculars up to the 110mm Ultra Series, or any other binocular up to 16 lbs.

The Oberwerk MRF (Multi-Reticle Finder) projects an easy-to-see reticle, focused at infinity, that is selectable between 4 patterns (shown below), in 2 colors (red and green),
with continuously-variable brightness using a large easy-to-operate dial.  The reticle can be seen from as close as a couple inches to more than a foot from behind.  Steer the binocular so the reticle pattern is on your target, then when you look through the binocular eyepieces, your target will be in the middle of the field of view.
