Not allowed in the German StVZO area! MALOSSI have created another class-leading performance cylinder for 50cc automatic scooters in the form of the 'FLANGE MOUNT'. There are two versions available, one with 70cc and the other with 94cc, both being suitable for use with the original PIAGGIO and MINARELLI engines as well as the MALOSSI 'C-One' and 'RC-One' engine blocks. Sounds complicated? Well it is! Versions available for the original engines still use original cylinder pins protruding from the crankcase to hold the cylinder head and cylinder in place, while cylinders made to be compatible with MALOSSI performance crankcases are attached to the engine using a cylinder foot flange mounting arrangement . This arrangement allows for larger rackings to be included, with huge tuning potential! Such separate attachment of the components allows for an approach to cylinder head design, which is also very promising if you are putting together a high performance engine. It has a modular construction with multiple fixing studs and also provides an instant eye catching effect with a red anodized 'Testarossa' style headboard. This feature was a fixed part of the overall design, even at the prototype level of its development.
