Macgregor MT Tourney TR1 Vintage Golf Irons 2-9,11. Split Sole. Stiff.

For your consideration: vintage men's right-handed Macgregor MT Tourney TR1 split sole nine iron forged golf set 2-9,11 (note: 11 iron is a TP). Club heads are in very nice shape for their vintage and have some minor tiny nicks associated with soft-forged irons. Faces also are in very nice shape with no ugly browning and very good grooves.  Equipped with Macgregor Tourney Action 1 steel shafts that are pinned to the hosels (note: it is my understanding that #1 means stiff flex; also, they feel stiff.  #11 label just says Macgregor Tourney Action with no number designation – shaft steps are the same size as set and is a nice flex match to the set).  The length of the 5 iron is 37.25” (note: my measurement was taken with a carpenters ruler along the backside of the shaft from the end of the grip to the sole of the club with its last groove parallel to a hard grounding surface). Pin striped leather grips are in excellent collectors condition and are still tacky when moistened; however, you will want to change them for play (note: collars and end caps all present and in very good condition). Ferules and thin detail trim rings are in good shape and have the same serial number 2B101 for the 2-9 (11 iron has no serial number).
