Description
This is a vintage set of "Matched St. Clair No. 2002" created sometime from 1924 forward. The imitation faux hickory wood shaft is steel with a coating of faux wood. The golf bag is an old lightweight stovepipe nylon canvas bag with a padded strap and a metal plate which says "PRIVATE CLUB; Made in U.S.A.". The club heads are stainless steel & they have the very old leather wrapped grips, with the black wax threading. The shafts also have very tiny impressions in the which say "Indestructo". Clubs are as follows:- 3 Iron

- 6 Spade Mashie
- 7 Mashie Niblick
- 8 Niblick
- 9 Putter
These clubs were either made in Scotland or USA. St. Clair name is well known in Scotland and they are the owners since year 1446 A.D. of the Rosslyn Chapel. The chapel was also known through the DeVinci Code. St. Clair is a very well established Scottish Clan, and within the advent of golf throughout Scotland. This is a nice set for a serious golf enthusiast collector! Thanks for looking.
