BITTERS BOTTLE 1880s ATWOOD’S JAUNDICE Mass.. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. This is a nice early 12 sided aqua bottle standing at 6 inches tall. There are a number of Atwood’s Jaundice Bitters bottles with slight variations, so sometimes you have to look at them closely. This early one has a nicely applied lip with some nice swirling glass up through the neck. The lip looks like a faint fracture but it is due to being blown in its mold when you look straight into the lip. I do not believe it is a crack or fracture and not damaged in any way. When you look at the base, one side is thick and the opposite side is thin so perhaps this is the reason for the lip to appear as it does. So in all, it was offset when poured during its manufacturing. A nice clean and sharp old Bitters for your collection from Atwood’s out of Georgetown, Mass. with a trace of haze inside.
