Antique Vintage Wood Shaft Earlier J MacGregor Aluminum Mallet Putter

This item is an antique vintage right-handed 33.5" aluminum headed mallet style putter. Marked J MacGregor Dayton, O on the crown. This is an earlier one. MacGregor used J MacGregor from 1900 to 1918 and then switched to simply MacGregor. The soft aluminum has the expected play nicks and dings, but they aren't too bad. No hosel cracks. Please look at the zoom pictures as they should accurately represent the condition. The shaft is the apparently original MacGregor marked bore through hickory. The shaft has a bend, I see no cracks and it has some play at the hosel. The grip is an old long leather wrap that is in good condition, but it is a bit loose and there is some tape at the bottom.  A nice C 2 swingweight. Hard to find MacGregor aluminum mallet putter.
Shipping in the US is calculated and based on a 3
-pound
box. This item shipped UPS Ground. For those of you that never ship but only receive items, the further you are from me in NC the more shipping will be. That is the way the carriers charge. On top of that, eBay and takes almost 15% of what I receive for shipping (out of I receive .50) and I would like to break even. eBay collects sales tax for many states. They charge me 15% for that service and I never see that money.
