Antique Vintage– James Braid, Scotland – “Orion” Hickory Shaft Flanged Putter

Here is a very hard to find, James Braid hickory shaft “Orion” Putter.
The club has a pyramid dot punched face pattern with a squared shaft. The marking on the head is faint but visible. There may been a repair on the neck for a slight crack, not sure.
Its condition is good with a great patina and it shows ware from its age. The club was cleaned, and the head was carefully hand-polished to remove the oxidation and years of neglect.

The head measures a lengthy 3.5 inches and the
club face in 1 inch deep
. The club is approximately 34.5 inches long to the bottom of the hosel.
The shaft appears to be the original squared shaft, the grip also the original (not sure), in good fair with normal wear and tear, see photos. The head is tight to the hosel when you twist it, and as I mentioned above there may have a repair to a sight crack on the neck. This club would make a very nice addition to anyone’s collection.
