This item is a 39"
right-handed
original hickory shafted wood. It is a brassie with full brass sole plate. Marked Spalding A on the crown.
Good vintage
condition. Shows the expected play use.

I see no cracks and it is tight at the hosel. All that remains of the grip is the old felt underlisting. This club is
short,
and I suspect it was made for the lady golfer. It does not look like it was cut down. 12* loft.
If you are considering playing with this club, while I see no issues with this shaft (other than those mentioned above), I suggest that whipping be added just above the hosel to help prevent breakage. These old wooden shafts often have hidden defects and are liable to break at any time. I do not guarantee wooden shafts or heads against breakage when put into play. Never hit an old wooden shafted club off a driving range mat. Never hit an old wooden shafted wood with a hard range ball.

box. This item shipped UPS Ground. For those of you that never ship but only receive items, the further you are from me in NC the more shipping will be. That is the way the carriers charge. On top of that, eBay and takes almost 15% of what I receive for shipping (out of I receive .50) and I would like to break even. eBay collects sales tax for many states. They charge me 15% for that service and I never see that money.
