Antique Vintage Hickory Shaft Hagen Iron Man SW For Play

This item is an antique vintage wooden shaft right handed 35 1/4" wedge. It a a dot faced very wide sole heavy Walter Hagen iron Man. The head is in good playable condition. It does have the expected play nicks and dings and patina from play. Please look at the many zoom pictures for a better idea of condition. The shaft is an old hickory. The shaft is straight, I see no cracks and it is tight at the hosel.  All hickory shafted clubs should be reset prior to play (I believe this one already has been). The grip is a newer long leather wrap that is in playable vintage condition. 60* loft and a very heavy G 4 swingweight for play.
If you are considering playing with this club all wooden shafted irons should be re-set prior to play. While I see no issues with the shaft (other than those mentioned above), I suggest that whipping be added just above the hosel to help prevent breakage. These wooden shafts often have hidden defects and are liable to break at any time. I do not guarantee wooden shafts against breakage when put into play. Never hit an old wooden shafted club off a driving range mat. Never hit an old wooden shafted wood with a hard range ball.
Shipping in the US is calculated and based on a 2 pound box. This item shipped Priority Mail. For those of you that never ship but only receive items, the further you are from me in NC to more shipping will be. That is the way the USPS charges. On top of that, eBay takes almost 15% of what I receive for shipping (out of I receive .50) and I would like to break even. Shipping to foreign countries is also calculated and will be much higher.
