    Description

    This item is a 36 1/4" right handed antique vintage hickory shafted iron. It is an early smooth face Mid Iron. Made by Cochrane of Scotland- has their Knight cleek mark.
    The head is clean and in good vintage condition.
    Please look at the many zoom pictures to get a better idea of condition. The shaft is an old hickory. It has a bend, I see no cracks and it has some play. Short for a Mid Iron so I believe it has been cut down a couple of inches. All hickory shafted clubs should be re-set prior to play. The grip is an old long leather wrap that is in good
    vintage
    condition. 24* loft and an A 8 swingweight for play.
    If you are considering playing with this club, while I see no issues with this hickory shaft (other than those mentioned above), I suggest that whipping be added just above the hosel to help prevent breakage. These hickory shafts often have hidden defects and are liable to break at any time. I do not guarantee hickory shafts against breakage when put into play. Never hit an old hickory shafted club off a driving range mat. Never hit an old hickory shafted wood with a hard range ball.
