An interesting old bottle from Riga balsam in the shape of a jug, until 1917. Original.
Made of clay.
On the side face there is a stamp "KERKOVIUS AND COMP. RIGA".
Cerkovius Ludwig Wilhelm (1831-1904) is known for being the mayor of the city of Riga.
His son, Wilhelm Ludwig was the owner of a pottery factory, founded in 1892 and a glass factory, founded in 1899.
Pouring into such bottles was mainly Riga Balsam, orange tinctures and other strong and fragrant alcohol.
