Up for sale is a super nice and scarce square shape Antique BITTERS bottle embossed on two different indented beveled panels as indicated: Front side panel ~ Johnson's / Calisaya / Bitters // back side panel ~ Burlington Vt. This outstanding late 1870's era bottle is in original excellent near mint condition with absolutely no cracks,nicks,,or dings anywhere as well as almost no interior clouds or haze.The only issue is a very small sliver of glass off the upper shoulder area (see pic. 9) as well as a couple of faint scratches otherwise there are no other noticeable imperfections that I can see.The embossing is somewhat weak but very readable.This beautiful bottle has a tooled applied long tapered collar with lower flared drippy ring mouth and a diagonal hinged mold smooth base with a large circular inverted dome depression.This bottle is listed in the popular book " Bitters Bottles " by Ring/ Ham published in 1998.At this time it has a rarity rating of SCARCE.It measures approximately 10 in. in height and 2 3/4 in . square wide.The glass itself is very bright and shiny with only a faint amount of interior stain in the upper shoulder area.
